Express Contract Drying Ltd ( ECD ) was founded in Tregaron, Wales in 1991 by David McDermott. ECD rapidly grew a reputation as the primary Toll Spray Dryer and leading Manufacturer of Spray Dried Ingredients in the UK. Over the next few years, Express Contract Drying handled the spray drying requirements of Food Ingredient Manufacturers, Food Manufacturers across the UK, US and Europe .
In 2001 Express Contract Drying constructed a second facility in Ebbw Vale, Wales to meet the increase in demand for the company’s Spray Drying Facilities and Ingredients.
Moving forward to 2016. It’s an exciting time for Express Contract Drying Ltd who have recently completed a £5 million, 60,000 sq. ft. expansion at its Ebbw Vale site. This multimillion-pound expansion means Food Manufacturers can take advantage of new:

This investment increases ECD’s spray drying capacity to 6,500 tonnes per annum, as well as increasing their blending capacity to 5,000 tonnes per annum.
