Ethical Policy
Express Contract Drying Ltd is based in Tregaron (Mid Wales) and Ebbw Vale (South Wales). We have over 40 years’ experience in spray drying food flavours and colours with a range of 250 individual products for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
As a company we recognise we have a responsibility to our staff and customers with regards to social and ethical matters. We’re committed to respecting all human rights, and hold ourselves to the following standards:
Freely Chosen Employment
All employees have a signed contract of employment, a copy of which is kept by them. All workers are free to leave the site at the end of their shift. Employees are free to leave employment when giving reasonable notice. The company will not hold employee’s identification cards, passports, or money deposits for work related items.
Children and Young Workers
The company will not employ anyone under the age of 16. No-one under 18 will be required to work on night shifts.
Wages
Wages will be set at the legal minimum or higher, as determined by management. All workers receive paid annual leave as specified by national law.
Working Hours
Working hours, including overtime, will follow national guidelines and will not exceed the maximum according to law.

Ethical Sourcing
Express Contract Drying requires all suppliers to complete detailed Ethical Questionnaires ensuring finest ingredients are ethically, sustainably sourced and manufactured in an environmentally friendly manner
